I’m sure you’ve read the reviews of how Batman Begins is back to its ‘dark’ roots. I would definitely agree with that.
I’ve been a big Christian Bale fan ever since American Psycho. He’s kind of strange (dark) and mysterious, yet very likeable - and after putting on probably 80 lbs since The Machinest, he’s a pretty convincing Batman.
I didn’t like Katie Holmes in the movie. Something about being on Dawson’s Creek (yes, I’ve seen a couple of episodes) and all the recent news about her and Tom Cruise (I mean, who gives a shit anyways?) kind of ruins her ’street cred’ with me. Plus she just seems to act the exact same in every movie. They should’ve cast someone that better compliments Bale.
Katie Holmes is still hot though. Guarenteed.

In case you haven’t heard, the Internet Destroyer Explorer browser from Microsoft sucks balls. Use Firefox instead. Read more about switching from Internet Explorer to Firefox.

Firefox + these extensions = happy computer
- Tab Mix
Switching from Maxthon, I was not impressed with Firefox’s tabbed browsing. This extension takes it to where it should be. Make new tabs open next to the current tab. Double-click a tab to close it. Move a tab by dragging it. Reopen closed tabs. This stuff just makes sense.
- All-in-One Gestures
Once you get used to mouse gestures, you’ll wonder how you ever got along without them. Mouse gestures let you control your browser (back, refresh, forward, etc.) by holding the right-click button and moving the mouse. Moving the mouse to left goes to the previous page; up then down reloads the current page. You’ll realize just how wonderful mouse gestures are and how much you use them when have to use a computer that doesn’t have ‘em installed. This alone will make you never want to use Internet Explorer again.
- Forcastfox
Add the current weather & forcast to the Firefox status bar. This plugin is simple and unobtrusive. Very nice.
- IE View
Lets face it - the web is full of crappy websites that only work well in Internet Explorer. This lets you open the current page in Internet Explorer (simply by right-clicking & choosing the option) when you run across one in Firefox.
- Web Developer
I know, I know. It’s everyone’s favorite. That’s because it does a lot and works really well. If you do anything with web developing, you should have this plugin.

I went to the watch Scot Pfitzer and Mary Anne Ellis Pfitzer exchange vows this past Saturday. It was great getting to see a bunch of folks I hadn’t seen in a while.
The reception was fun - plenty of beer, champagne, & wine (no liquor though) to get everybody chatty.. After exchanging the standard “I’m doing (insert job here) living in (insert city here)” conversations with everyone, it was just like hanging out back in “the old days..” Damn good time!

aka “True Lies 2″ This is one of those movies where the good guys kill about 500 bad guys without barely getting scratched. That said, it’s actually not that bad of a movie. The action scenes are pretty damn amazing, Mr. Pitt is pretty funny, and Ms. Jolie is always nice to look at.

Story: 2.5/5
Overall: 3/5
Recommendation: Rent it

I’m a big fan of Photoshop Phriday over at somethingawful.com, especially the movie posters. Mike Davidson started something similar. The second installment of the Mike Industries iPod-A-Month Creativity Competition proves that iPods have been around for a lot longer than you think!
Go and check out the entries.
My favorites, based on original image coolness & the iPod integration quality: (in no particular order)
Up for grabs is an iPod Shuffle and a pair of Etymotic ER-6i earbuds. Who do you think should win?
