This is the first website I ever created. During college, I worked for Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation at the Brewton Mill
through the cooperative education program. During my last co-op semester in the summer of 2003, I took on the project of building an
intranet site.
The objective was to create a place where mill employees can easily find job information and management can efficiently relay messages.
Since this was my first attempt at creating a website, I had to teach myself everything from scratch. Using the corporate intranet as a reference, I built the site using frames so that the main content pages could be edited seperately from the header and sidebar area. In hindsight, a content management solution would have been more appropriate, but I was not aware of them at the time.
